Chapter 7 (part 2)> Aching Heart..

*Monday..

Kibum walk to the school with Hyunki today since she'll be entering the same school as him. he walks faster, leaving his noona way behind him, and didn't show any signs of slowing down. Hyunki tries to catch up with him, but it's useless.

Hyunki: Ya!! Kibum-ah!! Kibum!! wait for me!! Kibum!! (catching her breathe) damn dongsaeng!! i'm ur noona ok!! Kibum!!! (stomps feet)

Suddenly...

Voice: Um, gwenchanayo??
Hyunki: Huh?? (turns) oh, omo!! (covers her mouth)
Voice: Uh, is there a problem, Miss?
Hyunki: Ah? (nods) ne... (blush)
Voice: Oh, I'm Jonghyun. Kim Jonghyun. u?
Hyunki: (blushing harder) I'm Hyunki. Kim Hyunki...
Jonghyun: I see. are u going somewhere? u're wearing the same uniform as i do.. (points to his badge)
Hyunki: (looks at her badge) Ah, ne... i just transferred here. but i don't know where the school is... my, my dongsaeng left me... (sad face)
Jonghyun: Really? um, would u like to walk with me? since i'm going to the school too...
Hyunki: Huh?? can i??
Jonghyun: (nods) Sure.. after all, we're schoolmates right? (smiles)
Hyunki: (stunned)
Jonghyun: Shall we? uh, Miss? Miss?? Kim Hyunki-ssi!
Hyunki: Ah? (rubs her head) mian...
Jonghyun: It's ok... are we good to go?
Hyunki: (blush) Ah, ye...
Jonghyun: Then, follow me...
Hyunki: Ne...

*SM High...

Kibum enter the school with a heavy heart. he doesn't know how to confront her. after letting a heavy sigh, he open the door. as he open it, the first thing he see is, what else? her. she's sitting at her place, perfectly dressed, hair neatly do, and she's staring outside through the window. one hand on her chin, and another one on the table. that's her usual pose when she's day-dreaming or have nothing to do. she looks perfectly fine, like nothing had happened. like it's another school day for her. slowly, he make his way towards his seat. one step, two step. suddenly...

Soojung: Kibummie!!! (approaches)
Kibum: Uh...

Kibum froze. his eyes is on EunShi, who show no emotions or expression at all. she didn't move, nor turn her head towards him. his heart start racing for no reason.

Soojung: Kibum-ah... hmm? Kibummie!!
Kibum: (still looking at EunShi) What?
Soojung: Huh?? ya!! i'm talking to u!! (hold Kibum's arm)
Kibum: What do u want?
Soojung: Huh?? Kibum-ah... why are u like this??
Kibum: (glare at Soojung) Let go of me.
Soojung: Huh?? Kibum-ah...
Kibum: I said. let me go.
Soojung: Kibum... (lets go)
Kibum: Huh... (walks to his seat)

Soojung is shocked. this is the first time Kibum had ask her to let go of him. he never cares when anyone hold his hands or arms. or when a girl tugs his shirt. he never cares . he never did care. but today, he didn't just ask her to let go, he glare at her too! luckily no one really paid attention to them, so nobody sees what just happen. quickly, she runs out and head to the toilet. while Kibum, who's still two desk away from EunShi, feels his heart thumping like crazy. as if it didn't receive enough blood to pump. as he walk closer, his whole body starts to shiver. just before he pull his chair, she turns her head. now, their eyes met. he freezes. not knowing how to act. as the results, he stares at her. unknowingly, his sight starts to blur. not because of his crazy-thumping heart, but because of tears. his eyes is now full with tears, which can flow out of his eyes any minute now. he tries to controls it but, he can't. his aching heart is hurting him. inside out. he wants to hug her. tightly. he wants to cry on her shoulder. while telling her he's very sorry. he wants to apologize for what had happen. he wants to tell her how much he misses her, the old her. how he never stops loving her, even though their sad break up was two years ago. he wants to do all of that, but he can only stares at her with his teary eyes.

SM High, gate...

Jonghyun: We're here...
Hyunki: Huh? already??
Jonghyun: Uh, yes... wae?
Hyunki: Ah, nothing, nothing... so this is SM High?
Jonghyun: Yup. (smiles) what do u think?
Hyunki: It's bigger than i thought... plus, it's, so grand-looking...
Jonghyun: It's SM High after all... now, i think we should head to the office to determine ur class. or, have u already know which class u're in?
Hyunki: Class? my class?
Jonghyun: (nods)
Hyunki: Oh! wait up... i have it somewhere... (search something in her bag) ah, found it! (take out a paper)
Jonghyun: What's that?
Hyunki: My admission letter. my mom gave t to me this morning. she said my class is stated in here. but, (blush) i haven't read it actually...
Jonghyun: (smiles) Gwenchana... may i look at it?
Hyunki: Ah, sure!! ( hand it to him)

Jonghyun take the letter and read it. as he come across her class, he look at her with disbelieve...

Hyunki: Hmm? what's the matter? is something wrong?
Jonghyun: U, u're a 3rd year??
Hyunki: Huh? yes. waeyo?
Jonghyun: 3rd year... (bows) mianhae!
Hyunki: Huh?? uh, why are u bowing??
Jonghyun: Mianhae... i should address u properly... mianhae, sunbaenim.
Hyunki: Huh?? sunbae??
Jonghyun: Yes... u're my sunbae...
Hyunki: Mwo?? how come??
Jonghyun: I'm, i'm a 2nd year... see, (points to his tie) 1st year's is blue, 2nd year's is red, and 3rd year's is dark green... u didn't wear a ribbon so i mistook u for a 2nd year.... mianhae...
Hyunki: Ah... u're 2nd year then... ani, gwenchana... my bad too... i should have introduce myself properly before...
Jonghyun: Aniyo... it's my fault...
Hyunki: Ah, gwenchana... gwenchana... (rubs her head)
Jonghyun: Um, i think we should go to the office first, since u haven't got ur ribbon yet... the teacher will take u to ur class...
Hyunki: Ah, ye...

Just before they head to the office,

Onew: Jonghyun?
Jonghyun: Oh? hyung! (bows)
Hyunki: Huh? (look at Jonghyun and copy him)
Onew: Who's this?
Jonghyun: Huh? she's a transfer student. she didn't know where the school is so i showed her. i'm taking her to the office since she hasn't got her ribbon yet...
Onew: I see... annyeong haseyo, Lee Jinki imnida...
Hyunki: Ah? ne, annyeong haseyo... Kim Hyunki imnida...
Onew: Hyunki??
Hyunki: Ah, ne... is there a problem?
Onew: Ah, no, no... nothing...
Jonghyun: Onew hyung, ah, Jinki sunbae is the President of our school's Student's Council...
Hyunki: Jeongmal???
Onew: Ah, ne...
Hyunki: I see... nice to meet u, President!
Onew: Ah, ye... um, i should get going. see u during recess, Jonghyun... (walks away)
Jonghyun: (nods) Ne, hyung. (look at Hyunki) um, let's go, sunbae...
Hyunki: Ah, ne...

*School's backyard...

Onew leans against the brick sink at one corner of the backyard. his catching his breathe back. the short encounter with the new student just now really gave him a shock. it's really surprising to know that her name is Hyunki. he wipes a few sweat on his forehead and tries to cool down. but, he can't. hearing the name 'Hyunki' makes him recall all the things he wants to forget. the thing he tried really hard to let go. but, he can't. just as he about to really forget, a girl with the same name showed up in front of him. now, how can he forget?? the name keep repeating itself in his mind...

*Class 1-1...

Kibum knows, there's no point for him to stand there, doing nothing. it'll be totally useless since he already get a chance to sort things out with her. so, he hold his tears in, and open his mouth. he nearly says 'sorry' when she suddenly smile and stand up.

EunShi: (smiling) Good morning, Kim Kibum. nice day, isn't it?

And the tears he's holding in, flows out of his eyes...
